Salma is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a Human Resource Professional and a published author. She began her career with the World Food Programme (WFP), where she worked in Human Resources for nearly a decade in Dubai and Rome. Before becoming a coach, she also worked in Abu Dhabi for IRENA, the International Renewable Energy Agency Secretariat where she led a team as Acting Chief of HR for over two years and worked extensively in recruitment, performance, and HR operations management.
In a career spanning over 20 years, her work has taken her from UAE to Thailand, Myanmar, Italy and Pakistan. She thrives in multi-cultural environments having worked and lived in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Her experience has deepened her attunement to cross-cultural issues and challenges arising from international careers.
She collaborates with organizations on areas related to talent acquisition and development, utilizing targeted HR solutions and strategies. As a coach, she supports professionals and aspiring leaders tap into their inner powers and form new life visions and career goals. Through her work with KITE, Salma co-facilitated the WFP Horizon Programme and coached executives from multiple UNSSC development programmes. She also has served as an executive coach for UNAIDS senior and midlevel leaders, and a career transition coach for UNICEF.
Salma has her MSc in Human Resources Management and Development from the University of Leicester. Her research on women’s career advancement and the glass ceiling ignited her passion to support women realize their full potential. She co-authored two books “Women Who Inspire” & “She Dares”, illustrating powerful stories from inspiring women overcoming obstacles and leading change in the world. She is trained in Organizational Relationship Systems Team Coaching (ORSC), she is also accredited in She has completed the Harrison Assessments Employee Development Accreditation and is certified in the Team Diagnostic Survey (TDS)’s Six Conditions Framework for Team Effectiveness.
